People ask me all the time— Since you live in two places do you have an office?
Do you work at a desk? Do you work in coffee shops? The answer is YES to all. I have a home office in Connecticut with a SUPER large glass desk.
The base is exposed steel with strong legs. It’s unusually wide and easy to maintain. I adore it as the glass reflects the light and always feel sleek.
While in NYC - I do all the other things, coffee shops, (major favorite is Cafe Minerva- 302 West 4th Street) agent’s and licensee offices, etc.
Truth be told, I like to work at a very clean and organized space. Clutter kills the vibe and I can't think with 1000 things piled on top of one another.
Confession, at the end of the day - I prepare a list and make sure the space is tidy so I can start fresh the very next morning.
I think this stems from my roots, as I ALWAYS had a small desk in my room to stash my stuff— my orange diary, favorite photos, candy wrappers, silly notes, old cards and other funny things.
While I am seriously busy designing AC branded products, I do share my time with a few private clients designing interiors, in Connecticut. Recently, I worked on two bedrooms for some sweet sisters.
I took two pics last week, on the run…(NOTICE- I didn't tuck in the long clear lamp cord nor did I remove the homework on the collator) Both girls are young, smart and VERY different from one another.
I wanted the workspace to reflect their personality but also feel modern, cool and youthful. I smiled as I ran out the door, thinking this is a real way to leave my mark.
Take a look!
